This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions under which Vendors may sell their products on the Accra Shop marketplace (Accra Shop Buyer & Vendor App).
By applying to become a Vendor and/or listing products for sale, You agree to be bound by the terms below.
1. Eligibility Requirements
1.1. Vendors must be at least 18 years old to apply and operate a shop on Accra Shop.
1.2. Vendors must reside in, or have a physical shop located in, the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
1.3. Vendors must provide valid identification and proof of business/shop address during the registration process.
1.4. Vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Ghana in relation to their business activities.
2. Vendor Obligations
2.1. Vendors must provide accurate and complete product descriptions, prices, and images when listing items.
2.2. Vendors agree to maintain stock availability for all listed products.
2.3. Vendors shall ensure that all products are authentic, safe, and not expired (for consumables).
2.4. Vendors are required to cooperate with Accra Shop’s Moderation & Quality Control Team. Products will only become visible on the marketplace after approval by the moderation team.
3. Prohibited Products
Vendors shall not list or sell the following items on Accra Shop:
Narcotic drugs, controlled substances, or illegal pharmaceuticals.
Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives.
Counterfeit, pirated, or stolen goods.
Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
Live animals or animal parts prohibited by law.
Human body parts or remains.
Hazardous chemicals or substances.
Products violating intellectual property rights or Ghanaian law.
Accra Shop reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate Vendor accounts for violations of these prohibitions.
4. Order Fulfilment & Shipping
4.1. When a customer places an order, Accra Shop riders will pick up the product(s) from the Vendor’s shop at no cost to the Vendor.
4.2. Products are transported to Accra Shop’s Fulfilment Center, where they are repackaged and prepared for shipping.
4.3. Shipping costs are fully borne by the customer and are not subject to commission or revenue-sharing between Accra Shop and the Vendor.
4.4. All orders must be prepaid by customers before shipping, except for orders within the Greater Accra Region, where Cash on Delivery (COD) may apply.
5. Payments & Commission
5.1. Accra Shop applies a standard commission rate of ten percent (10%) on every successful sale made through the platform.
This commission is automatically deducted from the total sale amount before the seller’s earnings are transferred.
5.2. Each Vendor is free to set their own product prices, and Accra Shop only earns when the Vendor earns.
The commission helps cover the cost of platform maintenance, marketing, customer support, and secure transactions.
Example:
Product sale price: GH₵ 1,000
Accra Shop commission (10%): GH₵ 100
Amount credited to Vendor: GH₵ 900
5.3. Payments to Vendors shall be made via Mobile Money only.
5.4. Vendors may submit a withdrawal request two (2) days after an order status changes to “Complete” in the system.
5.5. Payments shall be processed to Vendors’ registered Mobile Money accounts after verification by Accra Shop.
6. Vendor Responsibilities
6.1. Vendors are solely responsible for the quality, authenticity, and legality of their products.
6.2. Vendors agree to honor warranties, guarantees, or after-sales obligations as required by law or stated in product listings.
6.3. Vendors must maintain good packaging and product condition to avoid returns or disputes.
6.4. Vendors shall be liable for customer claims arising from defective, counterfeit, or misleading products.
7. Returns & Refunds
7.1. Accra Shop may accept product returns and issue refunds in line with its Return Policy.
7.2. If a return is due to Vendor fault (e.g., defective, wrong, or counterfeit product), the Vendor shall bear full responsibility for refund or replacement.
8. Termination
8.1. Accra Shop reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Vendor account at any time for:
Violation of this Agreement.
Fraudulent or illegal activities.
Poor performance or repeated customer complaints.
8.2. Vendors may terminate this Agreement by giving written notice and clearing all pending orders and payments.
9. Limitation of Liability
Accra Shop shall not be held liable for:
Losses due to Vendor negligence or misconduct.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Delays caused by Vendors’ failure to provide products on time.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Ghana.
11. Acceptance
By registering as a Vendor and listing products on Accra Shop, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.
